Bridging the Achievement Gap in Literacy and Numeracy
Every Child a Chance Trust
Every year approximately 35,000 eleven year olds leave primary school with the numeracy levels of a seven year old and one in ten boys are leaving primary school without basic reading and writing skills. However, programmes like Every Child Counts and Every Child a Reader are helping to reduce these numbers. NAHT TV went along to a school in Birmingham to see how these programmes are raising the aspirations and achievements of all those involved.
